Voxel Sandbox is a VR game by Antares Games ("we"). This page explains, briefly, what data the game uses, why, and how to have it deleted.
| Data | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Meta user ID and username | Sign you in, link your saved data to you, show your name to other players | Until you ask us to delete it |
| Saved game data | Save your progress, settings and player-created content, and make it available when you play | Until you delete them or ask us to delete your data |
| Friends and profile pictures | Show which of your Meta friends play Voxel Sandbox, send and accept invites | Not stored by us |
| Presence | Let your Meta friends see that you are playing Voxel Sandbox and join an available session. Meta shares this status; it ends when you leave | Not stored by us |
| Blocked players | Respect your Meta block list when you play with others. Meta keeps the block list; the game only reads it | Not stored by us |
| Voice | Talk to the players in your session, only if you allow microphone access | Not stored, live only |
| Gameplay and device data | Fix bugs and improve the game: gameplay activity, features you use, session length, performance, errors, device model, system and app version, and approximate country or city derived from your IP address. These events are linked to your user ID, not your username, and do not include the content you create | As long as needed, then deleted or anonymised |
| Purchases | Unlock what you bought. Meta processes the payment; we never see card details | As long as purchase and tax law requires |
When you join a multiplayer session, the other players see your username, your avatar and your in-game actions. Game state and your head and hand positions are shared to keep the session in sync and move your avatar; head and hand positions are not stored. Voice chat starts only after you allow microphone access. It is streamed through Photon's servers to your session in real time, and we never record it. You can mute other players and use Meta's blocking and reporting tools.
These providers process data for us, only to run the features above:
We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
Every player, in any country, can ask us for a copy of their data, to correct it, or to delete all of it. Send the form below with your Meta user ID or display name. We confirm within 7 days and finish within 30 days. Deletion removes your account, your saved game data and the analytics linked to you, and cannot be undone. It is free, and you do not need to give a reason.
In the EEA and the UK, we process data to provide the game you asked for (contract), to keep it secure and improve it (legitimate interests), and to meet legal obligations. You may also object to processing or complain to your local data protection authority.
Voxel Sandbox is for players aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from younger children; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it. Data is encrypted in transit and access to it is restricted. Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful safeguard.
If this policy changes, we update this page and its date. Use the form for any privacy request or question. You can also reach us through the support link on the Voxel Sandbox page in the Meta Horizon Store.
